The MBA with a concentration in Accounting consists of 48 credit hours. Thirty-six credit hours constitute the required course of
study.
Students in the Accounting concentration will build upon the managerial skills developed
in the MBA required-course-of-study by
developing an understanding of accounting concepts and applications. Students will
also become competent in the use of appropriate analytical tools and technologies. They will be sensitive to legal,
ethical, and social values in the conduct and communication of
accounting practices and decisions. In addition, students will have
an understanding of a portion of the topics required in preparation
for the CPA exam: audit and attestation, financial accounting and
reporting, regulations, and business environments and concepts.
